Trutnov Massacre | Obscene Extreme 2013

Here’s a small taste of one of the best shows we played last year. The one and only OBSCENE EXTREME FESTIVAL. It was amazing to step into the mighty stage of GRIND once again.

The songs are “Mutilada em 10 Seg.”, “Objectofilia Platónica”, “Compulsão Mucofágica” and “Necro-Felação”.

And it’s always nice to see our brother João Gordo (RATOS DE PORÃO) rocking on the moshpit at 04m47s. Grande abraço João!

And don’t forget to join the grinding madness! Obscene Extreme Festival 2014 is already building up, this year with our friends from BESTA and WE ARE THE DAMNED representing the portuguese flag!

And it’s a great pride to see our song “Lactofilia Destalhada” (taken from our latest opus “Gorefilia”) featured as soundtrack during the video, and also to see that some footage of our show (recorded for a future DVD release) was also included! Awesome!

Box Sized Die featuring Holocausto Canibal

It’s with enormous pride and honour that we announce the invitation of Holocausto Canibal by Fundação de Serralves to be part of the performance “Box Sized Die” by the highly appraised artist João Onofre.
This performance will be part of the exhibition Habitars[s], with the trusteeship of Suzanne Cotter, Isabel Sousa Braga and João Silvério and includes works from the collections of Fundação de Serralves and Fundação Luso-Americana para o Desenvolvimento – FLAD. The performance will occur in two separate dates – the opening on 30th November 2013 by 5 pm and closing on 22nd February 2014 by 5 pm also. Both performances will take place in the premises of Palácio de Cristal, inside the municipal library Almeida Garret – Oporto.
“Box Sized Die” is a 183cm black metal cube padded with acoustic foam. Referencing a minimalist sculpture by Tony Smith, Onofre invites Holocausto Canibal to perform inside it. The work has no fixed duration, instead the band performs until they feel that the oxygen is running out and ends their set due to fear of asphyxiation.

Holocausto Canibal joins the roster of bands which already made their part in this performance, bands such as Konkhra, Dark Moon or Gorod.

This exhibition also features works by Pedro Calapez, Alberto Carneiro, Mauro Cerqueira, José Pedro Croft, Alicia Framis, Eberhard Havekost, Cristina Iglesias, Pedro Cabrita Reis, Augusto Alves da Silva, Rui Toscano and Francisco Tropa.

30th November 2013 – Saturday
16H – Opening
17H – João Onofre, Boz sized Die featuring Holocausto Canibal, 2007-13

22nd February 2014 – Saturday

After 18 months, more than 40 shows played, more than 30 cities destroyed, 7 different countries burnt to ashes and a whole bunch of obliterated venues, our job is done!

Yes, the Gorefilia touring cycle is finally over.

Last Saturday we played the last show of this promotion cycle that was also our last show in Portugal for a long time… and what an epic way to do it!

It has been a hell of a ride, with the natural ups and downs, but in the end we can really say it was probably the best promotion cycle we’ve ever done in 16 years of non-stop grinding.

We had the pleasure to play Gorefilia in the most wonderful cities for the most brutal audiences, working with some of the greatest promoters in Europe, but now the time has come for us to stop and focus on our future endeavors.

As such, we must share some words of appreciation and respect to all those who made this possible.

Our eternal gratitude goes out, in the first place, to all the beautiful people in Paços de Ferreira (PT), Porto (PT), Barroselas (PT), Lisbon (PT), Barreiro (PT), Figueira da Foz (PT), Almada (PT), Aveiro (PT), Loulé (PT), Moita (PT), Évora (PT), Viseu (PT), Caldas da Rainha (PT), Viana do Castelo (PT), Braga (PT), Guimarães (PT), Barcelos (PT), Benavente (PT), Beja (PT), Tui (SP), Vigo (SP), Santiago D.C. Thanks for the great gigs and great times!

Thanks also to our session vocalist and long time friend Ricardo S. for accepting the challenge of spending 18 months on the road with us without even blinking after our last frontman’s abrupt departure. Without you we would hardly make it!

And finally, thanks to Dave Rotten (Xtreem Records) and André Matos and Daniel Makosh (Raising Legends/Raging Planet Records) for all the trust and support on the Gorefilia release.

Now we will return to our HQ and focus on the next releases that are already being planned. We are expecting to tell you something about it real soon.

This does not mean that we will cease our live activity. To tell you the truth it’s quite the opposite, as we are finishing details for some new shows and tours for 2014.

However, this was probably our last show in Portugal for a handful of reasons.

Z. Pedro says: “It’s really great to realize that we have accomplished all our objectives for this album, but now it’s time to move on and start working on new stuff. We’ve got some really great plans over the table for 2014, which we expect to be a great year for the cannibals. Expect new stuff real soon.”

Commenting, Diogo P. states: “After thousands of miles it’s time to put an end on this tour. I would personally like to thank all the people involved in all the shows we’ve played and all the fans and friends that we met on the road. Your support is our life!”

Eduardo F. comments: “MOSHFEST was truly an epic night! Our last show in our home country couldn’t have been better. Thanks to everyone that showed up and grinded with us Gorefilia for one last time. Now is the time for us to work on some new stuff and to return to make 2014 another crazy-ass year!”

Ricardo S. says: “It was with great pleasure that i accepted to join in with the guys after almost 10 years away from the band and the stages, for an epic adventure through all the european countries that this Gorefilia tour passed. Great shows in amazing cities, new friends, meeting again some old ones, is always nice. Let’s see what the future brings! For all the lucky ones that saw the last show of the tour, thanks for your support!”

António C. states: “18 crazy months after the release of Gorefilia our job is done! Thanks to all the people we met on tour and especially to the ones who supported us all the way. We’re really excited to go back to the rehearsal place and work some new stuff for you. Special thanks to  all the grinders that showed up in Benavente last Saturday for making the final show in our country unforgettable.”

Thank you all! Keep grinding!

Holocausto Canibal

Next Saturday, October 5th we will play the Moshfest alongside the almighty MASTER (CZ), our good friends and legendary portuguese punks MATA-RATOS and whole bunch of great Portuguese and foreign acts.

The show will be held in the Side B Lounge Club, in Benavente and it will be the last show of the Gorefilia touring cycle.

As such, this will be a very special celebration, so be sure not to miss this, as this will most likely be the last HOLOCAUSTO CANIBAL appearance in Portugal in a long, long time.

Be there, or be DEAD!

Back from ITALY!!!

3 days, 2 cities, 2 shows, 3 flights, 1100 kilometers, 12 hours driving… and without any doubt a hell of a weekend that we’ll hardly forget for the best possible reasons.

Italy has always been great for Holocausto Canibal.

This weekend we returned to this great country for the 4th time, to present Gorefilia in Rome and Squinzano (Lecce).

On Friday we played the Spazio 53 in Rome and our first time in the heart of the empire couldn’t have been better.

Great people, great food, loads of booze and a brutal environment made this show a very special one.

We would like to thank our good and long time friend Andrea (DESPISE THE SUN RECORDS / CORPSEFUCKING ART) for making this show happen in the very best way and, of course, to Massimo and all the Spazio 53 crew for treating us like babies and putting everything they got in every possible aspect.

Also, we would like to thank our brothers in NEID for lending us all their backline and, of course, to the one and only Ivan from CANNIBE for sharing the stage with us. You played really good shows.

We hope we can do this again in a not so distant future.

Last but not least, thanks to everyone that showed up in Rome for partying with us!

Now, on Saturday we travelled to the BRUTAL SOUTH of Italy to play the 8th edition of the VULGAR FEST in Squinzano (Lecce).

Well, this was for sure one of the best shows we played in the Gorefilia touring cycle.

It’s amazing to see such dedication and love for the cause! The organization was simply remarkable. Not everyone has the balls to pull a festival like this and to work between tight flight schedules, last time details, medic emergencies, and still having time to make sure everything goes smoothly and comfortable for everyone, both bands and audience.

Great times in Squinzano, great times indeed!

Our ETERNAL GRATITUDE goes out to our good friend Marco Furia (you’re the man!) and his lovely family , Andrea Litti (thanks for the backline, the SGs rocked!), the Instambul Café crew (beer, beer, beer, beer, beer, beer) and the GREAT GIGI – the best driver on earth!

Also, we would like to thank our brother Paul Foster Dent (from BTK) for singing with us Zombie Apocalypse (Mortician) and our brothers in CREATED FROM PIGS MUTILATION (thanks for lending us the bass), SUDDEN DEATHSTIGE and BASEMENT TORTURE KILLINGS for sharing the stage with us! Hope to meet you all next time!

And for last, thanks to the great SOUTH ITALIAN AUDIENCE for showing up at the VULGAR FEST and supporting extreme music! Too bad we didn’t have more time to party with you.

Part of our hearts stayed in Squinzano and for that we hope to return sometime soon!

Cheers to you all!
