After 4 long years of total absence of new posts on this website [focusing on our other networks [Facebook / Instagram] we decided it was about time to reanimate our official website as well!
We’ll start to operate some transformations at a slow pace and upload a new full site as soon as possible.

Finda a nossa aventura pelo Mucho Flow eis chegado o momento de endereçar os devidos agradecimentos.
Foi um prazer e uma honra poder fazer parte de um evento tão ecléctico e frenético quanto este, e daí que a primeira remessa vá para organização pela coragem e a ousadia de nos convidar para mais um desafio fora do “nosso quintal”. Fazendo nossas as palavras de João Onofre, “a arte ou é experimental ou não é arte”, e poucas coisas nos dão tanto prazer como desbravar o desconhecido. Para a ocasião preparámos um espectáculo que aliasse a violência sónica à visual, criando uma experiência sensorial sem precedentes na nossa carreira e que esperamos poder repetir novamente no futuro. Por isso, eterna gratidão à organização pela oportunidade de explorar ainda mais as artes do extremo.
Os nossos profundos agradecimentos vão também para a equipa técnica do CIAJG – Centro Internacional das Artes José de Guimarães por toda a ajuda na preparação e execução do espectáculo. Muito obrigado pela paciência.
Por fim, obrigado também ao Guilherme Henriques e à sua equipa, parte integrante do espectáculo, força motriz da parte visual e sem os quais isto nunca teria acontecido.

Holocausto Canibal // Mucho Flow Specials
Next Saturday we will play the Portuguese avant-garde festival MUCHO FLOW. We are due to unleash non-stop grinding brutality at the CIAJG – Centro Internacional das Artes José de Guimarães at 18:30.
This will be a very special show to which we dedicated a lot of time and effort. Not only we will play a brand new setlist (focused our next opus) but it will also see the result of the collaboration with renowned videographer (and longtime friend) Guilherme Henriques (Mayhem, Belphegor, Malevolent Creation, Archgoat, …). Guilherme has been developing a Projection Horror Experience for this special show for some time now and it will undoubtedly make it an unforgettable experience.

Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Serralves
It’s with enormous pride and honour that we announce the invitation of Holocausto Canibal by Museu de Seralves to be by the second time, part of the performance “Box Sized Die” by the highly appraised artist João Onofre.
This performance will be part of the exhibition Zero em Comportamento / Zéro de Conduit, held by the Contemporary Art Museum of Serralves and it’s curated by João Ribas, Serralves Museum director, and Ricardo Nicolau, director assistant, with the curator Paula Fernandes
The performance will occur on 6th June 2018 by 6.30 pm and will take place at the main lobby of Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Serralves – Oporto.
“Box Sized Die” is a 183cm black metal cube padded with acoustic foam. Referencing a minimalist sculpture by Tony Smith, Onofre invites Holocausto Canibal to perform inside it. The work has no fixed duration, instead the band performs until they feel that the oxygen is running out and ends their set due to fear of asphyxiation.
Holocausto Canibal joins the roster of bands which already made their part in this performance, bands such as Konkhra, Avulsed, Unfathomable Ruination, Gorod…etc.

Sabbatical Leave
At the end of 2005 Eduardo F. performed his first show with Holocausto Canibal [12 Years ago], although we were already friends some years before that.
Last week, Eduardo F. decided to take a Death Grind sabbatical leave for an indefinite period of time, but not after he shared a few words with all of you:
“Sometimes one’s life can take you down so many different paths that it becomes virtually impossible to follow each one with the same determination, strength and respect. As some of you may know, I started my career as a tattoo artist a while ago now and most recently I decided to open my own studio (ExInk) in order to follow this vocation that I so passionately cultivate in an everyday basis. It was only the natural step forward that I needed to take and I couldn’t be happier with such decision. However, during the last year I realized that I cannot grant my musical affairs the same focus and dedication, since this craft already became my full time job. That is why I took the decision of suspending my activity as live guitar player for Holocausto Canibal for undetermined time. It would be unfair to remain in that position while having my mind obviously centered in other projects. A band like this demands a great agenda availability not only due to constant touring but also other commitments and lately it has been hard for me to reconcile both band and job activities. It’s obvious that once you become a road animal you will always be a road animal and that’s why I will still be connected with the band composing new music and helping manage this entity that has been a part of my life for 13 years already. This is not a throwing of the Heavy Metal towel to the floor … but let’s just say that the towel will float until further action.”
Does this mean a stop? Not really. The last shows have already been performed as a quartet and we are now composing new material [something that has not happened for quite some time].
At the same time we will continue to accept booking proposals for 2018 anxious for the next bloodsheds with our new lineup [through info@holocaustocanibal or Facebook].

Holocausto Canibal has the honour and privilege to announce a step further in their partnership with the finest and most talented craft beer makers Post Scriptum Brewery, LDA.
After some involuntarily leaked information that came up in the last months, we are finally ready to present you EXTREMA! As some of you may be already thinking “Oh no, not another band beer…”. Well, it’s not. This fine red headed Barley Wine beer is an extreme beer developed by Master brewer Pedro Sousa and curated by HC, for heavy drinkers, by heavy drinkers. Since the beginning of our partnership, we’ve been gathering some feedback from the ones who’ve tasted PS beers and we kept asking “What would an extreme beer be like, fit for extreme metal musicians?”. Apparently, Pedro already had the answer.
EXTREMA is a very successful and accomplished Barley Wine type of beer (you can Google it for more info) and features an impressive 16º of alcohol volume. It’s a fresh take on an expert level type of beer, that will surprise even the most seasoned beer lover, and will take its toll in the most seasoned drinkers. The hoppy flavour is topped by fruity notes and it leaves a fresh and somewhat bittersweet taste in your mouth.
The first batch will be available at Porto Beer Fest and HC will be pouring some pints together with the Post Scriptum team next Friday, 16th of June after 21H. For those who are willing to dare and taste this ungodly nectar, be sure to grab it fresh of the barrel and exclusively on tap. More news will unveil when the time’s right and you’ll be able to get yours’ on a bottle in a very near future.
